                    Week 9 (9/15 - 9/21)

Books appear to make me smile and giggle.  I'm not sure how I feel about the pool yet.  Maybe it's the soggy diaper effect I don't like so much.  I love our favorite breakfast place Estel's.  It's a nice breezy spot near the ocean.  We spent three hours there with our friend, and trusted realtor, Tim.  I had a good breakfast and nice little nap without any fussing at all.  I'm a beach baby already.  We'll be back again for sure.  Nap time is essential...for all of us!  We love finding a shady spot to take advantage of the ocean breezes.  We saw the most gorgeous sunset from our balcony.  The pictures don't even do it justice.  It's 9/21 and I am officially 2 months old!  We went into town to enjoy the parade for Belize Independence Day.  It was quite an adventure with an impromptu rain storm.

                    Week 8 (9/8 - 9/14)

We took our first walk on the beach and cooked our first dinner at home.  Chilling poolside in the shade.  Enjoying our local beach bar for the Poker Rally.

                    Week 7 (9/1 - 9/7)

This week I got my first set of vaccinations and handled it like a champ.  My mum-mum was not as sure about it, but got through it too.  Then it was off to Belize for our first trip to paradise.  I am such a good little traveler.  Slept most of the way and timed my feedings perfectly during layovers.  We sure don't travel light.  Have boppy, will travel!  Made it to the island safely and were greeted by a new pet crocodile in the lake by our condo.  Sure hope he isn't hungry.  We are all settling in for our visit. Our new Bob stroller is great for offroading.  Mounted with my car seat, it's quite the little throne.  My travel bed makes sleeping quite cosy.  We had breakfast at a new bakery in town.

                    Week 6 (8/25 - 8/31)

We are slacking a little this week on the picture front. The fatigue has caught up with my parents, and they are so tired, they can't even lift the camera. :-)  But here are a few to tide you over. :-)  I went to lunch at Nora's with Mum-Mum and the girls, Sandy and Tina.  How fun!  We went to visit the doctors who helped us greet the world - Dr. McConnell and Dr. Adashek.  They are both wonderful doctors who we are fortunate to know.  On 8/30 I weighed in at 11 lbs 7 oz and 23 inches!  That's 3lbs 1oz and 4 inches gain since birth (if mum-mum's math is correct).

                    Week 5 (8/18 - 8/24)

Time is really flying by.  I am over 10 lbs now.  I still sleep a lot, but am spending more time awake and smiling.  Apparently, Mum-Mum sometimes naps with me (Pop-Pop caught her sleeping on the job).   We have started trying out the Moby wrap.  It feels a little awkward, but we are getting the hang of it.  It is Saturday 8/21 and I am officially one month old!  Happy birthday to me.  I am starting to like bath time, but am not too fond of post-bath diapering/changing.  I love the toys that float in the air like magic.

                    Week 4 (8/11-8/17)

Grandad Southwell mad a quick trip to see us.  I am becoming more alert, focusing on objects and lifting my head...when I am not passed out on the couch after a good meal!  We googood gaga and felt silly doing it.  We got our passport.  Wow, I'm changing so quickly my parents can't believe it!

                    Week 3 (8/4 - 8/10)

Grandma Southwell knits up a storm for me.  We can't thank her enough for the beautiful outfits and blanket.  If there was any doubt, I am definitely cute as a button.  It cooled down just enough to get some time outside, including a walk through Pueblo Park. I enjoyed my second visit to church this week. Aunt Mia and cousins Paul and Michael from Maryland came for a visit.  I experienced my first rain storm.  We got my birth certificate and applied for my passport.  I got to meet my Uncle Mike-Mike Fay.  He is awesome!

                    Week Two (7/28 - 8/3)

I got to meet Grandma Southwell, who came this week for a visit.  My Pop-Pop is figuring out how to be a great Dad for me AND try out a new pizza recipe.  I met Kindra, Kerry and Colton Knoll, and enjoyed their visit a lot.  How could they put such an unglamorous picture of me burping?  I got to meet my Aunt Sandy this week!  I'm not a big fan of bath time yet.
