Ultrasound Pictures
We have had numerous opportunities to peak in on our little one and watch her miraculous growth. Click on the photos to enlarge.
Week 36
At 36 weeks and 3 days, Tesla finally has decided to flip over head down. We are not sure if she will stay that way, but she has been breech up to this point. This picture looks like she is blowing bubbles or pouting ala Angelina Jolie. If you look closely, you can see some hair floating straight up on the top of her head. Now that we had the 3D ultrasound, these 2D don't seem to be as impressive, but we are very excited to be getting closer to meeting her in person.
Week 31
It is amazing how much she has grown! Our litle one now weights 4 lbs 6 oz. She filled in quite a bit. She apparently is growing some hair. You may think it is black from the pictures, but those are only the dark parts of the ultrasound. The technician did a couple of 3D shots for us. Tesla kept hiding behind what Jason identified as a "giant turd", but I think is part of my placenta. She had her hand in her mouth or up her nose the entire time. She probably can't get her foot up there anymore. We were also hooked up to the fetal monitor for the first time today. She was definitely not fond of that. She tried her hardest to kick the monitor off, but eventually calmed down. Jason kept making me laugh throughout the test, but we passed anyway. Her heartbeat sounded like a pogo stick, a horse galloping, and at one point Jason thought the machine might need some WD40.
Week 27
This was a fun ultrasound. Tesla had both feet over her head and kept wiggling her toes and kicking at the ultrasound wand. At one point she lodged her foot down and refused to turn over when the technician tried to move her. It looked like she was drinking, pursing her lips and smiling. At one point she yawned and made the technician yawn. She's a funny little girl.
Week 23
This was the week that we saw feet and hands and bones. She looks like she has little circular Kartman fists (Southpark). She has ticklish feet.
Weeks 13, 12, 10
Looking more and more like a baby.
Week 7
There's something in there!
